Origins of Irreversibility

The RCNP has received a multimillion grant from the John Templeton Foundation, under PI Manus Visser and co-PI Klaas Lanndsman as well as Kian Salimkhani and Marij van Strien, to investigate the origins of irreversibility in physics, mathematics and philosophy, with applications in statistical mechanics and black hole thermodynamics.

Fundamentality in Physics and Metaphysics

Kian Salimkhani is the PI of a new DFG project on the notion of fundamentality in physics and metaphysics at Radboud University. The project was previously situated at the University of Cologne and will restart at ISiS and the RCNP in October 2024 with Martin Voggenauer as a new postdoc for the remaining two years.
